Call for Papers

 
The blueprint of the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative is connecting the vibrant East Asia economic circle at one end and the developed European economic circle at the other, and encompassing countries with huge potential for economic development. One of the key objectives of the OBOR initiative is to increase connectivity and economic development along both the land-base and oceangoing routes through the movement of goods, services, information, and people.

The LMS on OBOR conference will provide a forum to address the various issues associated with the OBOR initiative from the perspectives of logistics and maritime studies. It will also serve as a platform to facilitate international research and industrial collaboration to examine the multifaceted issues related to the OBOR initiative.

Authors are invited to submit their research outputs. Topics suitable for this conference include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Air Transport
  • Maritime Economics and Business
  • Maritime Law and Policy
  • Maritime Services
  • Operations and Supply Chain Management
  • Safety and Security
  • Shipping Finance
  • Shipping and Trade
Categories of submissions include full paper and extended abstract.
  • Full paper: may be submitted for consideration of inclusion in the special issues (to be organised by the organising committee) after a peer-review is carried out by referees.
  • Extended abstract: a summary (one to four pages) of presentation contents.
Presentation at the conference:
Accepted paper/abstract will be accompanied by an oral presentation (15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers).

Important dates: Deadline for submission: 31 January 2016
Notification of acceptance: 31 March 2016
